2010 AUTISM PUZZLE RIBBON CAMPAIGN

 

SPREAD AUTISM AWARENESS IN YOUR SCHOOL

 

April is Autism Awareness Month.  The Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Autism Society of America helps to spread Autism Awareness by providing FREE Autism Puzzle Ribbons to Pennsylvania schools in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties.  Nominate your school so that they can receive ribbons for every student and staff member at your school!  The Chapter distributes Autism Awareness Ribbons to help start or compliment awareness activities in schools.  Schools may receive the ribbons already assembled or receive the materials to assemble the ribbons.  Assembling the ribbons makes a great service or vocational project.  The Chapter likes to hear about awareness projects.  Schools may send pictures or letters explaining how their particular school spreads awareness to the address listed below.  Items received before April 15, 2010 will be displayed at Autism Awareness Day at the Philadelphia Zoo on April 18, 2010.  They may also be published in our Chapter NEWSLETTER.

 

WHAT IS A PUZZLE RIBBON?

 

When you wear this ribbon it will show your support for individuals with Autism and help raise Awareness.  The puzzle pattern of the Autism Ribbon reflects the mystery and complexity of Autism.  The different colors and shapes represent the diversity of the people and families living with the disorder.  The brightness of the ribbon signals hope; hope through research and through increasing awareness of people like you.
