  3. Upon receipt of your application, it will be reviewed by the Grant Committee. A member of the Committee will contact you with any questions, and you may be asked to submit further information. If you are asked for more information and it is not provided, the Committee may choose to evaluate the application as initially submitted or to treat the application as abandoned.

    It is within the Committee's discretion to determine which grant proposals will be approved. In making its determination, the Grant Committee may consider the following factors:
    • The number of individuals who will be served by the grant;
    • The impact the grant would have on the proposed program;
    • Whether the applicant is a grassroots organization (i.e., one operated primarily by people who volunteer their services, abilities, and time).

    Under no circumstances will money be given for general operating expenses.

  5. If the application is accepted, a check for 1/2 of the grant amount will be mailed to you no later than two weeks after the Board meeting where the grant is approved.
